Itinerary

 

Day 01: Arrive Cochin (City Tour)

 

Today board your flight from Mumbai to Cochin. On arrival at Cochin airport, meet and greet with airport representative and proceed to your hotel. After freshen up, proceed for city tour of Cochin, the city famed as ‘Queen of Arabian Sea.  Visit Mattancherry Dutch Palace, known for mural and royal belongings, St. Francis Church, The Oldest European Church in India, the Chinese Fishing Nets - living symbols of   centuries Old Chinese influence, Jewish Synagogue the oldest synagogue in the Commonwealth, Marine Drive, the most popular picnic sport in Cochin. Late evening return back to your hotel. Stay overnight at hotel in Cochin.

 

Day 02: Cochin – Munnar

 

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed to Munnar for your onward stay. On arrival at Munnar, check in to your hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Stay overnight at hotel in Munnar.

Munnar, the picturesque hill stations in India is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. Sprawling tea plantations, picture book towns, winding lanes, trekking and holiday facilities make this destination a popular resort town. Munnar is the home of Nilgiri Tahrs, an endangered species of wild goat.

Day 03: Munnar (Sightseeing)

 

After breakfast, proceed for Munnar sightseeing. Sightseeing tour around Munnar takes one to tea gardens where picturesque colonial towns and meandering mountain streams present photo opportunities galore.  You will be taken for a visit to Rajamalai where you can watch Nilgiri Tahrs in their natural habitat.  You will also be visiting the nearby Mattuppetty Dam. Late evening return back to your hotel. Stay overnight at hotel in Munnar.

Day 04: Munnar – Thekkady (Lifestyle Holidays Recommends a boat ride on Periyar Lake)

 

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed to Thekkady. On arrival at Thekkady, check in to your hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure. We recommend you to take a boat ride on Periyar Lake and enjoy seeing the animals that come to shore to have water. Stay overnight at hotel in Thekkady.

Thekkady conjures up images of elephants, unending chains of hills and spice scented plantations. In the Periyar forest of Thekkady is one of the finest wildlife reserves in India, and spread across the entire district are picturesque plantations and hill towns that hold great opportunities for treks and mountain walks.

Day 05: Thekkady – Alleppey Backwaters (House Boat)

 

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed to Alleppey to board your house boat. With the Arabian Sea in the west and the vast network of Lakes, Lagoons and freshwater rivers crossing each other - Alappuzha is a district immense natural beauty. Enjoy the houseboat cruise through Vembanad Lake, the biggest backwater stretch in Kerala and through the narrow canals of Alleppey.  Houseboat cruise through the serene backwater stretches of gives an idea of the natural beauty of Kerala backwaters. Stay overnight at houseboat.

Day 06: Alleppey – Kumarakom

 

After breakfast, check out from house boat and proceed to Kumarakom. On arrival at Kumarakom, check in to your hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Stay overnight at hotel in Kumarakom.

Kumarakom is a beautiful paradise of mangrove forests, emerald green paddy fields and coconut groves interspersed with enchanting waterways and canals adorned with white lilies. Kumarakom is well known for its varied avian population.  Migratory birds can be seen in the season.

Day 07: Kumarakom (Lifestyle Holidays recommends a visit to Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary)

 

After breakfast, the day is free at leisure. You can visit the nearby Kumarakom bird sanctuary (on your own) or just relax in your hotel room simply doing nothing. Stay overnight at hotel in Kumarakom.

Day 08: Kumarakom – Cochin

 

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed to Cochin airport to board your flight back to Mumbai.
